CHAD SMITH - Concept/Writer/Performer
Based on his passion for the music of Rudy Wiedoeft, Broadway Saxophonist Chad Smith created the concept, selected the music and co-wrote the script for Sax-O-Philm. Read Chad's biography.
JON KOONS - Producer/Director/Writer/Performer
Jon Koons collaborated with Chad Smith to develop the concept and write the script for Sax-O-Philm. He produced the film and video montages that accompany the music, directed the staging, and performs as an actor and Vaudeville entertainer in the show.
Jon is a producer, director and production stage manager who has worked with numerous prestigious theater and opera companies. He also teaches theatrical and circus arts.
A published author of both fiction and non-fiction, Jon has written scripts, articles, short stories and children's books. He owns and operates JestMaster Productions, Inc., the entertainment and theatrical production company responsible for Sax-O-Philm. Jon has an affinity for Vaudeville, the Silver Screen, and the times during which they flourished. He now also shares Chad's enthusiasm for the inimitable music of Rudy Wiedoeft.
SABRA MICHELLE - Choreographer/Performer
Sabra created the choreography for Sax-O-Philm's original 20's styled dance numbers. A long-time former member of the professional jazz companies Dancin' Unlimited and Motion Mania Dance Theatre, Sabra has a BFA degree in dance from Shenandoah Conservatory, and both choreographs and teaches. Her students have gone on to become award winners and even Olympic medalists.
